The 9-metre low-floor AC buses are designed for intra-city mobility and include 𝐂𝐂𝐓𝐕 𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐝𝐨𝐨𝐫𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐟𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐫 𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐥𝐲-𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐬. Charging and depot infrastructure is being developed across the three cities to support operations, while the scheme itself forms part of India’s broader objective to electrify public transport and reduce urban emissions
𝐇𝐄𝐕’𝐬 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬:
This deployment highlights how India’s EV narrative is shifting from pilot-scale experimentation to network-level electrification. The PM e-Bus Sewa Scheme aims to bring electric mobility to cities that historically lacked organised bus services, making electrification as much a public infrastructure story as a technology story.
